#Step 1 - Prepare the Essentials
There are certain essentials that a user must take care of like the device location. Prefer the center location of your home to place the device. The device must be located 8 inches away from the walls. The distance between your router and device must be at least 6 ft. this is very important to keep the device uninterrupted and consistent. Also, you will require the desktop, smartphone or tablet for creating the connection between the Echo device and wifi.
#Step 2 - Turn on the Device
For using the Amazon Echo Plus, you will require the consistent power supply as the device does not support the battery. You will require the device power cable to plug in and turn on the device. Once you turn on the device, you will see the blue color ring light on the device. When the blue ring light turns to the orange, your device is ready for the setup.
#Step 3 - Download the Alexa app
You will require the Alexa app for the Echo Plus setup. You can visit the link alexa.amazon.com to download the Alexa app or you can simply visit the play store for the app download. To download the app, your Android version must be 5.0 or higher and the iOS version must be 9.0 or higher.
#Step 4 - Use the Alexa app for Setup
Once you are done with the Alexa app download, open the app and log in to it using your Amazon username and password. After that, choose the option ‘Setup a new device’. Follow the on-screen guidelines ad choose your device. Check and make sure that your Echo plus has orange lights at this time. If not, you need to press the ‘Action’ key for five seconds and your device will be ready to pair.
#Step 5 - Make the WiFi Connection
The application will provide you all the necessary instructions to connect the Echo Plus device to the wifi. The app will prompt to the Wireless network setting section automatically. You can choose the ‘Custom Wireless Network for device pairing. After that, use the app again to check available wifi networks. Select the preferred network for pairing. The process will take just a few seconds depending upon the speed of your wireless network.
With this, you can complete the Echo App Setup for the Amazon Echo Plus device. Now, you are ready to use the Amazon Echo Plus device to enjoy the smart experience of voice assistants and execute the different tasks.
